I’m a joyful homebody. So even though I love food, cooking and hanging out in the kitchen, I don’t love going to the grocery store. When it comes to produce, we usually shop a couple times a week (although because it’s garden season, I just stroll over to my veggie patch—woo-hoo!). - Goji Berries: These little suckers add a powerful antioxidant boost to your trail mix and they’re also a great dessert topper.
- Chia Seeds: Have you tried chia pudding? If not, you’re in for a treat! You can even use these omega-3-filled seeds as an egg substitute for your vegan baked recipes. Woot!
- Hemp Seeds: Sprinkle these special guys on top of your salad for an extra punch of protein. Add them to your smoothies and you’ve got a hearty breakfast or lunch, chock full of vitamins and minerals.

For me, it’s all about Tamari. Asian salad dressing with rice vinegar, Tamari and toasted sesame oil. Yum.

Coconut oil is an important item in my kitchen and bathroom.
Organic virgin coconut oil – Lately, I’ve been using it to make homemade deodorant, in addition to yummy food. 🙂
Apple Cider Vinegar!!
If I’m limited to just one “I can’t do without” I’m going to have to say coconut oil. I use it everyday for nearly everything! But chia seeds, hemp hearts, and maple syrup run right up at the top of the “must have” list. I had just recently heard of Thrive but hadn’t had the time to check it out yet, so this post gave me the perfect opportunity to check it out, and as always, Kris, you gave me the inspiration! Thank you for being so fabulously you!!!!

I’m obsessed with chia seeds and sprinkle them on smoothies, salads, oatmeal, etc. It’s a completely painless way to get extra nutrition and fiber in my meals.
Goji berries for sure! There are such a great addition to a bunch of things! I put them in everything 🙂
